The ACID 20 was created to commemorate the 20th anniversary of ACID cigars, Drew Estates’ most iconic brand. A full-bodied, flavor-infused stick, the ACID 20 features a sweet-tipped Mexican San Andres wrapper with an Indonesian binder, which contains a Nicaraguan filler. The ACID 20 is handmade in Nicaragua. If you have never smoked an ACID cigar before, the ACID 20 was made just for you.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

Mexican San Andres Maduro
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. San Andres Maduro is a thick, medium bodied dark leaf, also called San Andres Morron. Like Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres Maduro is stalk cut and used for binder and wrapper.

Indonesia
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Tobacco is grown in many islands of the Archipelago but, as far as cigars are concerned, Sumatra and Java are the ones. Sumatra Wrappers are worldwide known. Central Java (Vorstenland) and East Java (Besuki) give fillers and wrappers in abundance. Indonesia is a key country for cigar tobacco.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Definitely another winner from Acid! I thought it was much stronger than other ‘mainstream’ Acids, such as Yellow Cold Infusion or the Acid One. Super thick, flavorful smoke out of this square beauty. I took about an hour to enjoy, relighting halfway through. Initial taste is what I’ve grown to expect and love out of Acids, and the smoke amplifies as she gets shorter. I took her down to my fingers and enjoyed every bit. A tad too expensive, however. I’ll keep some on hand for special occasions while I continue my search for my daily driver. ??

Overall this is a very good tasting cigar. The aroma is even better, especially on a cooler day. Smells like someone is baking brownies. It does burn very hot and so flavors can get washed out, especially past the halfway point. You really need to puff slowly or it gets too hot to smoke and hold. If Drew Estate could fix these issues, it would be a perfect smoke. It is 5 pack worthy. Having a box would smell awesome in a humidor!

Enjoyed this sampler, I had a Kuba Kuba and wanted to try more of the Acid brand. They are high-quality cigars in terms of construction, draw, burn, smoke etc. Most have a characteristic sweet taste on the wrapper which is pleasant. Not sure I am a fan of the "infused" flavors compared to regular cigars but maybe a nice change-of-pace cigar. They are on the mild-to-medium spectrum and the slightly sweet wrapper makes them good to share with an occasional smoker. The cigarillos are a five-minute smoke, skinnier than cigarettes but true tiny rolled cigars. Acid would not be my everyday smoke but thumbs up for the sampler and overall quality!

Tin is nice, but not as nice as a traditional box. Of the 14 cigars, 5 are cigarillos of the same flavor so you really only get 9 unique cigars. A good way to get acquainted with Acid, but I'll stick to the other Acid color samplers now that I know what I prefer.

This is specific to Acid Subculture Windy City. It's an awesome smoke, long lasting, even burning, and full of flavor. A slight peppery note on the lips with each draw. I was sorry when it was over.

A great choice for the beginner if you want to check out Acid. Also includes the C-note cigarillos, which were excellent. The sampler covers a wide range of cigars, and youäll love most of them. But not all, which is why I don't give full points all over. :)
