Very Impressed! It burned well. Smoked well and was a great experience.

This cigar! from the opening draws, it wasted no time making an impression. The first portion of the cigar delivered an immediate burst of flavor and a surprisingly assertive kick, especially for those who may associate Macanudo with milder profiles. Rich notes of dark chocolate dominated the palate, carrying a bittersweet character that felt deep and refined rather than sugary. Beneath that was a steady layer of earthiness that grounded the smoke beautifully and gave it a dense, hearty texture. As the cigar moved into the second third, the intensity noticeably ramped up both in strength and flavor. The dark chocolate notes became even more pronounced, almost like a flowing fountain of bitter cocoa coating the palate, while the earthy backbone remained consistent in the background. What really stood out during this stage, however, was the pepper. Bold waves of black pepper began pushing through the profile, adding energy and sharpness without overwhelming the blend. Instead, the spice intertwined perfectly with the dark chocolate notes, creating a profile that felt rich, powerful, and incredibly balanced all at once. By the final third, the cigar began to settle into itself. The aggression eased slightly, allowing the flavors to smooth out and become more refined. The pepper remained present throughout the finish, but now it merged more seamlessly with the earthy core of the cigar, delivering a warm and satisfying conclusion. This is not a cigar I would hand to a beginner. The strength, body, and darker flavor profile make it much better suited for a seasoned smoker who appreciates full, earthy cigars layered with dark chocolate bitterness and peppery complexity. Paired with a well-cooked steak and a cold pint of Guinness, this cigar becomes an even more rewarding experience.
