You would have to be crazy to ignore the Asylum Schizo. This medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan puro is brought to you by Christian Eiroa's CLE Cigar Company and is perhaps most notable for being a flavorful budget cigar that doesn't act like one. Notes of leather, cocoa and spice permeate the palate, with a satisfying complexity that won't allow you to believe that this is a mixed-filler stick. With different sizes available, from a standard robusto to a hefty 7x70, the Schizo is a grand choice for an everyday cigar, or to pass out at parties. Straitjacket not included.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

El tiro es muy apretado, y por calar se humedece demasiado, no logro ni fumar 1 centímetro que el sabor del humo en boca es muy pero muy amargo amargo y es muy desagradable. Como tuve que botar enterito los puros, los abrí y solo hay capa y capote pero la tripa no se ve ninguna hoja entera, solo esta llena de relleno de mucho desperdicio de tabaco, así que no es recomendable este puro, lo barato sale caro, no vale la pena ni por el precio, así que nunca mas

A very mild, subtle cigar that fails to distinguish itself throughout the entire smoke. I didn't dislike it. But I wasn't impressed either. If one prefers starting their day with a very mild cigar and light coffee then this cigar would be a consideration. But if you're into espresso and a full strength stick to start your day you'll be disappointed by this cigar.

7x70 might be big enough to make some people baulk at the size, but if you look past the gordo vitola you will be pleasantly surprised by a medium bodied Nicaraguan puro. ? Flavours of liquorice, sweet hay and malt dominated the first third and were then joined by smooth, creamy cashew nuts as the cigar entered its slightly stronger middle third. The final third started to get a little on the hot side, but letting it rest longer between draws re-balanced the flavours leaving me very satisfied with a cigar that was much better than expected.

very good looking, well-made cigar. Ash has good staying power for a short filler stick and the burn has been consistently good. Draw tends to be on the tighter side of what I prefer, at least on the bundle I'm rating. Aroma and taste are good - not like high end boutique good but just smooth and easy. These are definitely something I'll keep around. Great value!

This an okay smoke. Looks, aroma, and burn is all pretty good. But we burn a stick for the flavor, and well, the Asylum Schizo tastes a little bitter green. I've unwrapped what's left of mine and put them un the bottom shelf of my humidor to age. I'll try them again in a month or so and let you know what I think then.

A budget cigar, and sometimes you know it. Tobacco same as 12 range, but as a mixed filler sometimes this cigar doesnt perform. Sometimes you wouldnt know its a budget cigar, other times you can spend as much time touching up the burn line as smoking them. For a sub $3 a stick cuban sandwich, these are well worth it. I don't believe these are infused; however they do taste like they might be. if you haven't tried these I would find a single and smoke it first before pulling the trigger on a bundle. Overall, a mi-advertised cigar. This is not really a maduro, more like a Habano. Quality poor, most that I have tried have had a very poor draw. I don't recommend this cigar under any circumstances.
