This version of Asylum Insidious with a San Andreas Maduro wrapper features the same Honduran blend and medium bodied. The cigar is sweet tipped to provide a subtle hint of sweetness to the earthy blend.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. San Andres Maduro is a thick, medium bodied dark leaf, also called San Andres Morron. Like Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres Maduro is stalk cut and used for binder and wrapper.

Great every day cigar if you have plenty of time to smoke these babies. At 7 inches you have a cigar that will last for awhile. Nice appearance out of the box, good dry draw, easy lighting, good smoke and aroma. I did find a few that did not burn evenly but that might have been to a lighting error. Let me know. Draw is a bit loose, a ton of smoke output and it burned somewhat crooked. First half of the stick was very enjoyable with some generic but pleasant and smooth tobacco flavor, a small hint of bitter chocolate and some cedar. 2nd half the flavors faded so it was mostly just tobacco. Got this at a huge discount so at 3 USD a stick you cannot really complain too much. Will leave the rest for longer in the humidor and revisit once a month and see if it changes in flavor

Ordered these for a shorter smoke. Same taste profile as larger 64 by 70 which I go for often. Again, the sweet tip is a quirk rather than a feature...you start not to notice it if you take sugar in your coffee or are having a soft drink etc. A great smooth smoking consistent cigar when you dont want too complex, just a good cigar for a break...and the price is great.

I didn’t have high expectations on whether these sticks would be fresh and boy was I soooo wrong. When I opened the box I could immediately see the freshness in the cigars and once I clipped an lit one the taste was fantastic. This cigar has an even burn, without the need of continuing to add fire and the draw was easy and smooth. It has a hint of creamy and coco to it but not too much. This is an awesome smoke. Curtis

I love these cigars. I smoke these more than any other but you must toast well before lighting to get a good burn. Even then at times they will burn extremely uneven. Still a great smoke, flavor and smell. I will continue to purchase and recomend this cigar.

These are big sticks that require 2 1/2 to 3 hours of smoking time. They look good, smell good, and the ash held tight and fell off in big chunks. I was rather disappointed though considering the rave reviews on these cigars. I personally didn’t care for the flavor profile of them. The only ones I liked were the Corojo, they were quite enjoyable. They are ok to have for long outdoor activities like golfing or sitting around a camp fire.

I love these cigars. Sweetness on wrapper not over powering...a quirk rather than a feature. Draw always excellent. A smooth smoke, definately on the milder side but sometimes you want that. A go to regularly, well made. I see a lot about these being a starter cigar...I'd disagree, as a cigar smoker of 40 years a staple when you want a smoke that isnt overpowering but is satisfying.

Overall an adequate cigar. There are other cigars in this price range that I like more. I have found that it is easier to use a plunger then a cutter because the cutter has resulted in very uneven cuts. Neptune has excellent shipping and service. Mike H.

As a diehard lover of Nicaraguan most of these were outstanding, especially the straight jacket and the Ogre. The Corojo was good if that is your type of stick, I prefer a richer taste but it was quite tasty and especially complex. The rest were as expected very good dark Nicaraguan sticks!

This cigar has a sweet tip which reminded me of my youth smoking Swishers Sweets. once you get by that it has a respectable taste with exception burn and draw. the last have was harsh and resulted in heavy acid reflux . I won't be buying anymore....
