Consisting of a gorgeous golden-hued Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, Mexican San Andres binder, and premium fillers from Brazil, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic, the Cohiba Connecticut is uber smooth and creamy, and mild enough to light up either first thing in the morning, or winding down after a long day.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
The San Andres region in Mexico is known for producing some of the best tobacco in the world. The tobacco is stalk cut and valued for its rich dark color and used to make noteworthy maduro wrappers and binders.
Filler
Brazil Mata Fina
Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Brazil produces rich, medium to strong, dark tobaccos with a sweet taste and aroma. Most of the cigar production is concentrated on the eastern coast of Brazil, in the state of Bahia. Mata Fina tobacco is grown in a region in the Reconcavo Basin of the State of Bahia called Mata Fina (which translated means "thin plants"). Tobacco was one of the natural crops in the region.

Very disappointing cigar. Easy draw and even burn. No touch-ups needed but the flavor was pretty awful. Harsh, salty and sour with an almost chemical-like aftertaste. I had to take a sip of my drink after every puff. I wanted to chuck it not long after lighting it but stuck it out to see if it would change. It did mellow out a bit going into the second half but not enough to keep smoking it much further.

I just found my new favorite cigar. Are used to really like the red dots and then I found out about the blue dots. This one by far takes the cake. And you can buy a five pack for under $100. it burns slow aroma is beautiful and the draw heaven sent.

First cohiba cigar I tired. Honest opinion, I was expecting a lot more out of this cigar for the price point. Well constructed the draw was slightly tighter than I like but didn’t give any trouble. As for as the taste, it was a lot lighter than I would have liked it to be. But it’s was an enjoyable experience.

The tube makes for a great gift idea. I have smoked alot of these without the tubo presentation. They have alot going on for a CT. Notes of hay, nuts, fruit and cream round out a pretty complex flavor profile.

Cigar looked nice had a great draw and almost perfect burn wrapper has a almost velvet like feel. The first half inch or so had a harshness to it. Then it got really good and smooth had the typical Connecticut flavors plus a lot more interesting flavors almost berry or something but then the last third it really fell of. For around the $20 range it really should have been great start to finish IMO but while it was good it was really good

A Mexican San Andres binder, Brazilian Mata Fina, Dominican, Piloto Cubano, Nicaraguan Jalapa and Dominican Olor as fillers accompany this gorgeous Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and blends to create a mild to medium stick. With a white and gold band this cigar looks as luxurious as its name. The wrapper has a beautiful flawless gold shade, with some visible veins, but they are very small and very subtle. The foot of the cigar exudes earth and cedar notes. Right away I can taste some sweetness and cream with wood and hay notes being the predominant flavors. Then I taste a tad of pepper on my palate, I found the first third is delicious, Very light with notes of cedar and a great aroma. In the second third the pepper increases a bit on the palate, just for a moment before I can start feeling the tobacco sweetness again with mild pepper on the background. Reaching the final third, I got plenty of cedar, playing around earth and toasty notes, dulling away the pepper and playing along with some tobacco sweet notes. Sweet, wood and Cedar are the predominant flavors during the entire smoke. Creamy, Smooth and Delicious are the right adjectives to describe the Cohiba Connecticut. Construction is flawless with a nice draw, solid gray ash and even burning line. Complex and satisfying this cigar can be enjoyed not only for a Connecticut leaf lover but for every cigar smoker out there.
