Hiram & Solomon Cigars

Founded by two life-long Freemasons, each Hiram & Solomon cigar is named after a term used by the Freemasons. Proceeds from the sale of their cigars goes to charities such as the Shriners Hospital for Children. Hiram & Solomon cigars are handmade by Plasencia Cigars in Nicaragua. The Hiram & Solomon Chabal cigar is a potent smoke with an earthy and sweetness profile accompanied by notes of nuts and spice. The cigar is handmade at the PDR factory in the Dominican Republic. The cigar was crafted to honor MW Donald C. Combs Grand Master of Free and Accepted Freemasons for the State of Georgia.

Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type wrappers to many cigar factory in the world.

Criollo tobacco was originally developed for filler, but was found to be tasty as a wrapper when shade-grown. Criollo means "native" in Spanish. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.

Hiram & Solomon Curamus

The Hiram & Solomon Curamus is a limited edition cigar. It was created for MW Robert V. Monacelli, grand master of the Most Ancient and Honorable Society of Freemasons for the State of New Jersey. “Curamus” is Latin for “we care,” which is used as a mantra for the Freemasons. Proceeds from the sale of the cigars will go to the White Flower Society and the Almoner’s Fund for the Scottish Rite of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. The cigar features a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper placed over a Mexican binder and Dominican and Pennsylvania Broadleaf fillers. The cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic by PDR Cigars.

Hiram & Solomon Entered Apprentice is part of a line of quality cigars produced by Fouad Kashouty and George Dakrat. Hiram & Solomon founders Kashouty and Dakrat are members of the Freemasons, which is an organization that dedicates itself to doing charitable work. The Shriners Hospitals for Children is just one of the many organizations that the Freemasons help. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Hiram & Solomon cigars goes to charity. Each cigar is named after a degree in the Freemasons ranking system. Hiram & Solomon cigars are manufactured in the Dominican Republic by PDR Cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

Great sampler but unfortunately i received a sublime prince instead of the veiled prophet but it was an amazing cigar. Ill just have to buy a veiled prophet to try it.

I got introduced to this company and cigar from a Mason that I met at a local renaissance festival. I ordered and tried one out of the sampler. The one I tried was the “Traveling Man” It was a nice Robust cigar. The appearance was very nice. The draw was slightly tight. As for the ash and burn, i had to keep relighting it. Possibly due to user error. The aroma was like most cigars smell. The taste was pleasant. I will save the others in my humidor for special occasions.

This is an exceptional cigar with an exquisite full body profile and flavor. Extremely well constructed, dark, rich, and inviting. I’ve encountered a couple stems that caused me to correct the burn, no big deal! If you are a rookie cigar smoker this may not be for you. I get cedar, chocolate with a hint of espresso coffee, hints of earth, hay, and blackberry. The collective flavor increases and is more robust with an inch smoked. No bitterness in my experience. The outer wrapper is well fermented and contributes greatly both appearance and deep flavor. 90-92 in quality! Very bold good cigar…JDG.

For many, many months there has been a cigar that has been figuratively waving at me from its box and yelling "smoke me!", calling my name with its bright blue and black band adorned with silver accents, wrapped around a strikingly oily and dark maduro wrapper. For whatever reason, I've neglected to smoke the Hiram & Solomon Master Mason until just now, and boy, I should follow my intuition more closely (and sooner). Upon lighting, I found deep notes of leather and chocolate, typical of a maduro Nicaraguan offering. A small hint of black pepper was also noticeable, which I found opened up a bit as the cigar progressed. Strength hovered around medium for the first third, and picked up considerably by the second third. Leather notes remained for the duration of the experience, with the chocolatey flavors eventually evolving into more of a roasted coffee note, wonderfully complimenting each other. Spice and strength were in full force during the final third, but somehow the cigar never became overwhelming, retaining a smooth richness until I was burning my fingers. If you're searching for a bold smoke with a simple yet super effective and delicious taste profile, light up a Hiram & Solomon Master Mason and you'll be in great company. Enjoy with Scotch or a dark porter. Cheers!

I gotta admit I had serious doubts about these sticks. But I'm a Mason and I like to help out my fellow brother's. I just tried the traveling man and oh boy was I wrong it is a fantastic cigar. Has everything u would want in a great stick. Burned even the smell was pleasant taste amazing it was very smooth and bold packed with flavor. It was great all the way to the last puff. I will be buying a few more just to have on hand at all time definitely made it to my top 10 list.

A good cigar. Smooth draw. Balanced flavor. Stayed lit for long periods and the ash won’t randomly fall. It stays together until manually tapped. Recommended it to a close friend.
