The Casa 1910 Cavalry Edition was crafted to not only pay tribute to the riders who fought in the Mexican Revolution but also to honor the horses who served the soldiers. The vitolas are named after the more famous horses who accompanied the heroes of the Mexican Revolution such as Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa. Handmade in Nicaragua, the cigars are medium to full bodied and made of specially selected blends composed of Mexican and Nicaraguan tobaccos.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
The San Andres region in Mexico is known for producing some of the best tobacco in the world. The tobacco is stalk cut and valued for its rich dark color and used to make noteworthy maduro wrappers and binders.

Excellent cigar. The 6x60 is a bit unwieldy for me, as I've never been a big fan of large ring gauges, but Jilguero is a delightful explosion of spices, a hint of pepper, chocolate, and a subtle touch of leather. It's a long smoke—over two hours—so be prepared to take your time with it.

Construction was horrible QC must have been on vacation the day they rolled my stick I have to think its a anomaly but I can only judge the one I got. Past of the wrapper near the cap was actually missing by Tue look of it it wasn't from poor handling it was tore prior too rolling because the bider was there and the cap covered the missing spot. Draw was a little snug but not terrible however flavors and smoke were super light looked closer and there were three large stems/veins which I know are included sometimes but I pulled them out to see if it helped it didn't so I gut it down and grabbed another stick to bad and shouldn't happen with a stick of this price point
