Crowned Heads Azul y Oro

The Crowned Heads Azul y Oro cigar was inspired by a bottle of a famous whisky brand that Crowned Heads founders Mike Condor and Jon Huber had gifted to Gustavo Cura, who is the head of the Nicaraguan American Cigars S.A. (NACSA) factory. In 2011, Cura, who at that time was working for Oliva Tobacco Co., assisted Condor and Huber in discovering manufacturing opportunities in Nicaragua. The cigar’s band and packaging were fashioned after the whisky bottle’s labeling. The Azul y Oro cigar is a medium-bodied cigar that features a rustic, savory Ecuadorian Habano wrapper covered by a Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is the first limited-edition cigar released by Crowned Heads that is made at the NACSA factory.
