Macanudo Inspirado Orange Gigante 6 * 60, Box of 20

The Macanudo Inspirado orange sports a shade-grown Olancho San Agustin wrapper grown in Honduras. This wrapper has a beautiful reddish appearance that tobacconists call "Rosado". This attractive cigar is earthy, with medium to full body, and sweet undertones. The binder is Honduran from the Jamastran Valley and the fillers are Dominican Piloto Cubano, Honduran Jamastran and Nicaraguan Ometepe.

Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

This is wonderfully medium bodied smoke. It has slight leatherly notes, and burns perfectly even. The flavor is mildly nutty and is apleasure on your taste buds. The 60 ring guage is such a bonus in that the burn is even and slow. Great 2 hour smoke!

By far and away my favorite smoke. I love a lot of different brands and styles, sizes and tobaccos, but Macanudo Inspirado Orange Churchills are my go-to when I want to be completely satisfied. Excellent construction, perfect draw 90% of the time, and a flavor that just gets more complex as it burns. Leather, citrus, mild pepper, natural sweetness, earthiness and some magical portion of sweet, freshly cut hay. I don't know how to really explain the joy they give me, except to say that I would be lost without them! My favorite shape is Churchill, although the Gigante is right up there at a close second. But the Churchills burn just the right amount of time, and have just the right feel in my hand. Plus, they are just so classic. They're perfect. I have scoured the internet and every brick-and-mortar cigar shop and lounge within a hundred miles of my home. I can't find these at a better price anywhere. So that makes me a permanent, faithful, loyal customer from this point forward!

Decent Smoke. Light colored wrapper, seamless with minimal veins, seemed stretched, thin with a small tear, probably my fault. Spongy construction, very loose cold draw with hints of cinnamon bark. Once lit, draw tightens to allow a perfect amount of smoke, ample volume with wood and walnut flavors. Burns just right, wood, walnuts and hints of almonds, tasty flavor medium and balanced. Long relaxing smoke, nothing complex, just right. Wrapper expanded and cracked a bit, but it did not affect the overall experience.

I have had two cigars from the box of twenty and both have been terrible. can barely draw through and both burned with runners, one burning out the middle of the cigar first! I have pics if you'd like to see and I have already notified Macanudo of the issue. Definitely not worth the money spent!!

Started off really nice. Notes of citrus, nuts, and a nice toasty finish. Second third added a little sweetness. Final third got a little harsh and the nice notes dropped away. Draw was good, burn needed touch ups and it went out a few times. Not a re-do for me.

Smoked a few of these in a variety of different vitolas. This cigar will not let you down. While not the best cigar I’ve had, I enjoy revisiting this one with it’s smooth taste and excellent consistency. A good one to have on hand in your humidor. Smooth with citrus and baking spice notes, reliable, good construction and burn. Pairs wonderfully with a classic Old-Fashioned cocktail.

Considered myself lucky to find the Macanudo Inspirado Orange boxes available on Neptune and wasn't disappointed with the quality and the smoke. The Orange is a great every-other-day smoke from my stronger cigars. Try them (allow them a little time in your humidor) and I think you'll agree!

I was extremely disappointed with my selection of the Macanudo Inspirado Orange. The appearance is excellent and the draw was easy but the burn was inconsistent and it constantly needed re-lighting. I would NOT buy a box of these again but I am still Macanudo fan.

Of all the cigars I smoked in 2017, and except for one Cuban Partagas, this is the one cigar that impressed me the most! Expertly rolled and handsome wrapper. About thirty seconds after lighting there is a “wow” factor. The flavor and aroma are roasted nuts and cream...and it changes into a marzipan flavor that will have you mesmerized! Macanudo hit a grand slam with this one.

This is a radical change for Macanudo: the packaging is bold and bright. The caramel color wrapper looks silky and the orange band gives it a very happy appeareance, a real eye catcher. This cigar is a blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Dominican tobacco with outstanding results. Beautifully made, tasty, complex, and a perfect burning line. Every size I've smoked has been nothing short of perfect. A medium smoke all the way, earthy, sometimes spicy with cedar notes. The second half is specially creamy and smooth without loosing its strength and some floral tones developing on the background. The last third becomes more woodsy than cedary. Lots of smoke and a great ash. Money wise this stick is a steal, worthy to be included in your regular rotation.
