The Dias de Gloria Brazil cigar is the second release of this popular line by master cigar crafter AJ Fernandez. The first Dias de Gloria, a Nicaraguan puro, was released in 2019. It was created as a tribute to the glory days of Cuban tobacco prior to the revolution. The Brazil uses a premium Nicaraguan leaves for its binder and filler, but it is covered by a chocolatey Brazilian Mata Fina maduro wrapper. It was crafted to celebrate the fine premium tobaccos that come from these two nations and to continue in the legacy of its predecessor. “Dias de Gloria” is Spanish for “glory days.” AJ Fernandez invites you to create your own days of glory with this medium to full-bodied cigar.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

Brazilian Mata Fina
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Hailing from the Reconcavo Basin region of Bahia, Brazilian Mata Fina, or 'thin forest', is some of the more popular Brazilian tobacco used. This stalk-cut sun-grown leaf is dark, medium-bodied in strength, and contains a smooth, earthy profile perfect for maduro or oscuro wrappers.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Another gem from Aj. The construction and burn were perfect, and flavor to match. Definitely unique and completely different from the original habano. Dark notes of earth, spice, cedar, and a subtle sweetness. Box worthy to say the least.

Rare Brazilian wrapper and great AJ construction (a given). Dark, sweet flavors and spice. More charred wood vs. the Bellas Artes Maduro, which I prefer. Glad I tried but strongly prefer San Andres wrapped cigars and to a lesser degree CT Broadleaf

AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil Gordo: Tasting Notes: Cocoa, espresso, and leather Appearance: The look of the cigar is a dark brown. Origins: the origins are from Brazil and Nicaragua. First Third: From the light I get hints of cocoa and espresso taste. The draw is excellent and it also gives a great amount of smoke off of every hit. The cigar hits the medium mark I’d say. Second third: About 30 minutes in I’m getting the same espresso notes with a kick of leather and some cocoa. Last Third: Going into the last third of the cigar. The cigar kept the cocoa/dark chocolate tasting notes throughout the entire smoke with a bit of espresso. This was a really unique cigar mixing Brazilian and Nicaraguan tobacco together and making an amazing smoke Overall a great smoke I would recommend to anyone that likes AJ Products. Amazing cigar!
