Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Colorado is a medium brown color also known as EMS or English Market Selection as this used to be the color with more popularity in England than in America.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type wrappers to many cigar factory in the world.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Mexican tobacco is primarily grown in the San Andres region due to its volcanic soil. It has a very distinctive flavor with a spicy and earthy profile. As a binder it adds to the cigar’s overall flavor.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

This is a great cigar. Would say it is more medium body than full although, mine had aged in my humidor for seven or eight years (who said Davidoff should be smoked straight out of the box). Got a bit of coffee but more leather and old books aroma and taste. Easier draw than the usual Davidoff and great smoke production. Burned well with the usual Davidoff white-silver ash. The last third needed the wrapper to be re-lit, but otherwise a wonderful smoke. Buy it! You won’t regret it.

For me this Davidoff lived up to the hype. Excellent construction, draw, and burn. The cedar and earth is there but I get a pronounced citrus sweetness as well. Excellent smoke overall.

Actually, one of my least favorite sticks so far. The taste for me has just been like chemicals. There is a constant need to spit. I’ve smoked cao brazils and padrons which i think are way darker but this just doesn’t taste or draw so good. Great aroma though

A beauty to look at has a nice heft in the hand. Good draw and burn. Nice aroma of cocoa and towards the end warm honey on toast. Very nice smoke. Too bad they’re so expensive. But luckily there are a few less expensive alternatives.

Great way to sample a few Davidoff lines. Each blend profile provides a unique opportunity in different vitolas. I purchased the Millenium Blend robustos but preferred the piramide vitola. At the end of the Anniversary series, I'd come away with a much more favorable impression than before. It changed my mind about just how good this flavor profile is--and different from any number of the boutique Nicaraguans, which are wonderful their own right.

Great looking cigar. For the price, I was expecting top-quality. I didn't get it. I realize there are always duds in any cigar batch and I must have got a dud. I had to re-light this FIVE times and it still went out at the end. There wasn't anything extraordinary about the flavor. Tasted like an average 3 buck stick. I was disappointed, but again--I probably just got unlucky. This was the ONLY cigar from Neptune that was a bust, so I'm still happy.

Davidoff has been one of my favorite brands for some time now. High quality and luxury is associated with this brand, and one does not always realize all the little details and uncompromised effort that make this possible. The soil, the seed, the leaves, are all meticulously selected, and the entire process of aging the tobacco, making the cigars, transporting and distributing them is as scrupulous and precise as a Swiss watch. I once had the privilege to visit their factory and I have seen first-hand how important it is to deliver a high end product. The respect and appreciation I have for this brand is on another level now. Having tried most of the Davidoff lines, I can say for sure that the Millenium is my favorite. The complexity, the strength and the flavor profile is always satisfying and perfect for my palate. The dark brown Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper creates a beautiful contrast with the pristine white Davidoff label. The Millenium starts with nutty and cedary notes, with some sweetness and some spice that gives the cigar an interesting twist; they compete and compliment each other at the same time. The second third is all about coffee, wood, and caramel, bold but smooth and subtle like a powerful symphony created with the most delicate notes. In the last third the sweetness remains, with the pepper and the nuttiness upfront accompanied by cedar in the background. Flawless construction, perfect draw, beautiful burn line... As perfect as only Davidoff can be.

I got to enjoy the Davidoff Millennium during the SuperBowl with some friends. I have never had so many people ask me what I was smoking! The aroma coming off this stick had everyone around me asking that question. Incredible!! Great tasting stick, good burn and did not leave a bad taste... or anything once finished. I would order these up again in an instant. Great smokes! Highly recommended.

Considering it was a bit heavier than what I prefer, this was an excellent Cigar over all, smooth draw, even burn, the aroma wasn't too strong, no complaints from the OG, and the taste was pretty mellow for a heavy smoke. I would most definitely recommend this Cigar for someone who likes a heavier but smooth, tasty smoke.

The Davidoff brand is a luxury cigar brand so one would expect a hefty price tag but do not let that discourage you. This cigar is exquisite. The Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper is smooth and is dark enough to contrast well with the Davidoff band to pop out. The draw is perfect where I do not have to fight it and it doesn't feel like I am choking on smoke. A medium to full bodied cigar this cigar boast full flavor but is very smooth. At first light the cigar kicks with some spice that stays throughout the whole cigar but softens up as you smoke it. Behind the spice the cigar has a earthy and woody notes which balance well with the spice. The cigar also has some sweet notes at times. Getting to the final part of the cigar everything comes together for a smooth robust finish that leaves you wanting another.
