The La Aroma de Cuba Connecticut cigar is a beautifully crafted cigar that will appeal to the contemporary or the traditional smoking enthusiast. The cigar’s blend and carefully chosen vitolas were developed for La Aroma de Cuba by Pepin and Jaime Garcia expert cigar crafters and owners of My Father Cigars. The cigar’s lush, golden Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper covers a binder as well as long-filler leaves from tobacco crops that were grown on the Garcia’s farm. To create its uniquely smooth and mouthwatering flavor profile the tobacco was triple fermented prior to rolling. Once lit, the cigar offers a memorable smoking experience that will appeal to cigar lovers of all types.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Claro wrapper is light, yellowish brown in color.

Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

I've had this cigar a few times in between other cigars and from when I first had it to now, it hits different. I liked it at first but compared to other Conencticuts, this is a good cigar. I lean more towards spicy and subtle sweet notes. Definitely give this a try!

Not normally a conneticut fan but given LAdC's history thought id give it a whirl... wow... Definitley box-worthy and would happily start the day with one of these, perfect with a long macchiato. Simple, but tasty and perfect burn /draw. Smells a little acrid at times but no horrible bitterness in the length of the smoke. It will suit the seasoned smoker and would be perfect for a beginner too.. try one!!

Top-notch Connecticut wrapper mild cigar. Nice roast coffee and cream flavor and smoke. Has a nice nuttiness to it as well. Even burn and nice smooth draw. Ashes very nicely. I think I found a top rated Connecticut cigar.

Tried the original Aroma de Cuba robusto and really liked it so I thought I'd try the sampler, but was very disappointed. The OG robusto was the best one, a couple were pretty bad, I'll just stick with the classic from this brand.
