The Macanudo Inspirado Green is the sixth addition to the Inspirado line. It is the first cigar in this popular line to use Brazilian tobacco. Hand crafted in the Dominican Republic, this medium bodied stick sports a toothy Brazilian Arapiraca maduro wrapper draped over an Indonesian binder and a filler made of Colombian and Dominican tobaccos. The Macanudo Inspirado Green’s unique tri-country blend combines to create a rich, smoking experience with sweet notes of cedar and a warm tobacco flavor.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Brazilian Arapiraca is grown in the Brazilian municipality of Arapiraca in the eastern central part of the country. The production of this popular tobacco leaf has earned Arapiraca the nickname of "Brazilian Tobacco Capital". Arapiraca tobacco is thicker than Mata Fina but more subtle in both flavor and aroma. It is used to add complexity to a blend.

Indonesia
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Tobacco is grown in many islands of the Archipelago but, as far as cigars are concerned, Sumatra and Java are the ones. Sumatra Wrappers are worldwide known. Central Java (Vorstenland) and East Java (Besuki) give fillers and wrappers in abundance. Indonesia is a key country for cigar tobacco.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

Firm construction, loose draw with a mostly even burn. Only a couple of minor touchups needed in the second half. Medium to full-bodied with tons of thick creamy blue-gray smoke output with flavors of cedar/pine, roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate bittersweetness.

Excellent construction. Primary flavor was leather, with barn hay, roasted mixed nuts, wood coming in and out throughout. I wish they crancked up those flavors. It left me wanting for more staying at the minus side of medium. The last inch was stronger (nicotine, not flavors) and hit me with an unpleasant charred after taste. This would be good for anyone who like complex flavors on the milder side also at a price point that's hard to beat.

I really enjoy cigars with an aripiraca wrapper. Had a tight draw at first but with the help of my perfect draw (also available at Neptune) the draw opened up. Medium bodied. Milk chocolate, coffee bean and light cedar notes throughout the smoke. Would smoke again.

The dark Arapiraca wrapper is from the city of Alagoas, Brazil, also known as "The Brazilian Tobacco Capital". At first light, you are introduced to hints of pepper, along with a taste of earth and woody tones. I found the strength to be medium-full to outright full body during the second half. The draw on the Inspirado Green is truly excellent. At the halfway point, the pepper does diminish a bit, while a hint of cocoa is now introduced. The earth and wood notes are still present. As I mentioned earlier, the strength has picked up by now as well. Towards the end of the cigar, the cocoa does diminish a bit and gives way to a superb leathery note. Again, the cigar stays true to its consistency. Good flavor and balanced strength throughout. I would definitely recommend the Macanudo Inspirado Green to anyone searching for a fantastically well-rounded medium to full-bodied premium smoke at an incredible price.
