Davidoff Nicaragua is 100% Nicaraguan cigar with spicy aroma and wooden and earthy flavors with a hint of sweetness. Made in the Dominican Republic, the blend uses a Habano Nicaragua Rosada wrapper, a Habano binder from Jalapa, and fillers from Nicaragua. An exceptional cigar that can be enjoyed by seasoned and novice smokers alike.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Colorado is a medium brown color also known as EMS or English Market Selection as this used to be the color with more popularity in England than in America.

Jalapa is a tobacco-producing region in Nicaragua. It is known for its fertile land, and the tobacco grown there is one of superior quality and flavor.

Started a bit firm on the draw and a bit off on the burn but once I got into the meat of the cigar both improved considerably. Started medium and nutty and woody but as I progressed the notes of pepper and caramel kicked in. Very tasty and aromatic form that point on. A pricy cigar but also a tasty and interesting smoke.

15 months rest at 65%.. I thought this was mellow for a Nic puro. Nothing noteworthy on the flavor but certainly enjoyable. As with all Davidoff I can't justify the price, clearly paying for the name on these. This was a $12 stick IMO. Good stick that I'd like to have again but I wont' be in a big hurry to cough up $20+ for one.

Bought four. I found out I am not a fan of box pressed cigars. I don't like the draw. It is supposed to be a full flavored cigar but I found it weak; medium at best. I plan to try the 54 ring, my preferred size, at a later date. Certainly not worth 22.10 a stick.

Lives up to the hype. Nice, mellow flavors on the 1st & 2nd third. There was sweetness, wood and nuts. Then on that final third, the mellowness transformed into a full-bodied cigar with strong black pepper on the palate and retrohale.

First time trying this. Very excited to light up and taste all the wonderful things said about this cigar. Sadly, I was not impressed. It smoked very well, and evenly. Did not ash it til the second band. I would say its a medium to full bodied cigar. Very peppery all the way down. Aroma was just not there for me. Just a cigar...I am a fan of Davidoff. The Nicaragua spin off just doesnt work....for me.

Unreal! Not for the faint of heart. Big, bold flavors, not a lot of pepper, but still powerful. I absolutely loved it but my opinion is that it would be a bit much for a beginner. When you're craving a powerful, full bodied beast, this fits the bill nicely. Great draw, construction and burn. Typing this review is making me crave another. Happy smoking!

This is a FULL flavor cigar! Lots of thick flavorful smoke with a bit of a strength kick. Draw and construction were great. The burn was a little on the fast side, only lasting about 45 minutes to the band point. This cigar was a bit too strong for my taste, but I would recommend this to someone looking for a cigar with lots of body and some strength.

Had high expectations and was not disappointed. Appearance was less than perfect with few but significant veins. Aroma, on the other hand was a pleasure, so was the perfect slightly tight draw, which gave hints of tobacco sweetness resembling chocolate brownies. Once lit, burn was good, expected razor sharp, but got only a wavy self correcting burn. Initial taste was woody, fresh and at the same time dry. As the smoke progresses sweet leather blends in, overtaking the wood, with can only be sensed by the dryness of the finish. Balanced, mild, 5 Stars for Taste. All being said, I don't believe it is a great Value.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: most of my favorite cigars seem to hail from the country of Nicaragua, and it's a trend that continues here with the Davidoff Nicaragua Box Pressed Toro. As a brand that is primarily known for their Dominican offerings, I was a bit curious going into this one, thinking that it would no doubt be a GOOD smoke, but HOW good was the question. I'm happy to report that this cigar not only met my expectations, but exceeded them tremendously and has found itself a home as one of my new favorites. There is something to be said about a cigar that is delicious upon first puff, a rarity indeed, but this Davidoff provides just that. Literally while lighting the cigar, I was inundated with rich flavor, a glorious mixture of pepper and cream, and it wasn't long until it blossomed into a tasty bouquet of coffee, cocoa, and leather notes. The aroma was also something to behold, filling the room with an enchanting allure that only fine tobacco can produce. My one and only complaint would lie in the burn - my cigar needed to be touched up on more than one (or two) occasions as a result of a wonky burn line. Besides that small detail, I would consider the Davidoff Nicaragua Box Pressed Toro to be quite a perfect smoke, and worthy of even the most picky of humidors. Enjoy with a coffee or a glass of aged Scotch on the rocks.

This cigar does resemble a box of chocolate. Everything about it is perfect. This blend's taste is sublime. Notes of dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon and earth. The draw is silky smooth, the smoke plumes are beautiful. And the ash is a gorgeous white which looks great against this lovely chocolate brown wrapper. It is great to look at with the black band. Simply perfect. Enjoy.

Had much higher hopes and expectations on this one. A bit of a let down. Looks beautiful, but less than mediocre burn and draw. Flavor was meh, something was missing. Would maybe give it another try down the road, but not rushing out to purchase more. Much better Nicaraguan smokes out there at half the cost.

For the price of these and the reputation of Davidoff I expect perfection on all aspects. The burn on the stick that I am smoking as I write this is uneven and bent. I need to adjust the burn with my lighter. All other aspects are excellent. I am getting beautiful notes of carmelized butter with a hint of clove and orange peel. If not for the bad burn, this would be perfect. However, some of the others in the box did have good burns. This one looks like the oddball.

A very nice cigar, pretty to look at, lovely chocolate brown. Excellent construction burn and draw are great. Lovely flavors with a good amount of strength and ever so smooth. I would definitely smoke this again when I'm feeling flush.

To kick this review off, I have to say this is the first Davidoff I have ever smoked. I was always apprehensive due to the price point, however, the one thing I have to say; it is absolutely worth it. The Nicaraguan Short Corona by Davidoff is nothing shy of perfect. At a glance, the construction is immaculate with a stunning, dark chocolate-colored wrapper. The ash is a beautiful, white pillar that holds throughout the entire smoke and doesn't even entertain the thought of breaking. The draw is smooth and you don't have to work for your smoke, allowing you to enjoy without relighting or struggling on the pull. Now to the flavor. When you first fire it up your palette is instantly teased with flavors of chocolate and coffee, and as you progress through this short smoke those notes are joined by hints of nuts and oak that continue on through to the finish of the cigar leaving you with a pleasant aftertaste as if you hadn't even smoked. Now on to strength. Do not be fooled by the size of the cigar; it is a very powerful little smoke, definitely on the full-side of the power spectrum providing a gentle buzz to compliment the flavors. An overall outstanding 30-45 minute smoke. I highly recommend this cigar for after a long, hard day working and you want to treat yourself. Enjoy with a smooth glass of scotch!
