Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).
Wrapper
H2000
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Habana 2000 or H2000, is a hybrid between El Corojo, Cuba's standard wrapper leaf last cultivated in the 90s, and a cigarette tobacco called Bell 61-10. Cuban cigar growers crossed these two tobaccos in order to get a wrapper leaf that would be more resistant to disease than the Corojo was. Although its introduction was controversial and the leaf was not widely accepted, its quality has improved over time and it is now being cultivated with success outside of Cuba as well.
Binder
Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

I am very surprised. Since im from Europe i am usually having the Cuban R&C churchills. Thosecare quite good. I really love these from AJF, they are powerful and burn really nice. They are darker and stronger then the 'originals' but like many maduros tend to get bitter if youre smoking too fast (which you shouldnt do anway). I reordered already and will do again later on taking sone boxes back home.

Overall, great cigar for the price. Out of the box of 20, 2 did not burn evenly. This could be on me as well. Absolutely enjoy(ed) these and repurchased another box. Excellent flavor, aroma, and taste. I recommend you try this cigar!

I really enjoyed this cigar (always enjoy something with AK Fernandez’s name on it). It had a good draw and a really enjoyable spiciness throughout. My only complaint was a slightly uneven burn on this stick that I had to touch up once or twice.

In my opinion, very good cigar at this price point. However, I have a few comments. The draw was not as easy of a more expensive cigar nor more difficult than a cheaper cigar. It could have been a slight more better than it currently is. I expected a better burn from an AJ crafted cigar. Overall pretty darn good and will continue to purchase

Great Cigar, beautiful wrapper it really jumped out at me how well this cigar was constructed and how good it felt in my hand. Lots of nutty cream flavors, that morphed into earth and spice, finally some chocolate and leathery notes on the finish.

Something that is always a concern for me when purchasing cigars is how the smoke/aroma is for my wife, and not just me as she often sits on the porch with me while I smoke. I want something that smells as good for her or anyone around me, as it tastes for me. The presentation of the cigar is fantastic, I feel pretty awesome holding it and smoking it. It tastes even better than it looks, and is the easiest draw and best taste combo of any of the AJs I've tried (so far).

It has a great size, not on in length, but girth as well. Really nice draw, even burn. It was a really good smoke. I liked it a lot.

This was a surprisingly good stick for the price and given the manufacturer, even with the AJ Fernandez blend. It's definitely medium to medium full as the other reviews say, but with a richness and depth that was pretty captivating. It's a long smoke due to the ring-gauge, and was quite nub-able. Worth trying esp at the price.

A nice medium to medium full cigar. From the beginning of the cigar, your palet is introduced to little spice and some nutty flavor. As you continue to smoke it, a nice creamy flavor takes over and makes the cigar that much better. You will also fine a nice hint of cocoa through out the cigar. With the little changes throughout, it makes the experience, that much better.

An exquisite cigar! Normally, I prefer a maduro, and had actually fixed a cafecito to go along with this milder selection. But the complex, slightly spicy, flavor from the onset made me forget the coffee and focus on the cigar, instead. Well crafted, nicely presented, smooth, easy draw, copious smoke, and complex taste makes this cigar worth savoring. Well done!

Anytime AJ Fernandez is involved in a cigar I get extremely excited to check it out-- hence, the new Romeo/AJ cigar. This cigar is all Nicaraguan made with a beautiful Habano 2000 Maduro wrapper. Upon first light, a citrus type note is up front along with a slight sweetness. Leather, coffee and pepper notes are also noteable. Into the second third, citrus notes are still hanging in there but heavy leather takes over. Pepper and earthy notes are still dancing around. This cigar is starting to go from a med bodied cigar to full. Into the last third still heavy leather notes, with a bit of sweetness trying to come through. The construction was perfect-- long, strong white ash, no relighting, great burn line. Overall this cigar was very nice but you do need to enjoy heavy leather notes. Enjoy!
