Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown cigar is a blend made with selected Cuban-Seed Sun Grown wrappers that have been aged by the Perdomo family for 6 years. After the fermentation of the leaves, each wrapper is aged in bourbon barrels for an additional 14 months, after which they are at their peak color and flavor, producing a cigar that is amazingly smooth.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Perdomo's 20th Anniversary Sungrown Torpedo is, well, I guess its all there in the name. If you look at the effort that went into this cigar and the price tag on it we really find why Perdomo is a name most of know. The tobaccos selected for this cigar are 8 years aged, high priming, and topped with a bourbon barrel-aged wrapper. This cigar really nailed the sungrown experience of cedary, spicy, with a sweet finish. The extra kick on the front end of this cigar is a great way to get your mouth glowing but as the palate adjusts to the experience it tames out nicely into a medium to full strength stick. The sweet finish blends into earthier notes at end of this cigar and the spice softens keeping this stogie flavorful but balanced throughout. Burn time at 50 minutes, no construction issues, friendly price, bold but not unhinged. I would recommend this cigar to any sungrown fans and Perdomo as a whole to those who don't know it. Great cigars, great prices, and an easy to navigate product line. Cheers!

The habana and the 20 year anniversary were excellent cigars, definitely will seek these two out. The Lot 23 was decent, still have the 10 year anniversary left. Only note, that the cigars did arrive slightly dryer than i would like, but i imagine it tends to happen with sampler packs.

I have no complaints with this sampler. As a matter of fact i believe the sampler is offered at a good value vs. Purchasing by the single stick. As far as the quality. They all draw great and the tobaccos are all cured and the humidor care was proper. The tobacco all had different styles eg."Sungrown" i am not a big fan of sungrown.

Okay, no need for any filler or elaborate introduction on this one. Without further ado, here is a tried and true classic - the Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown! Let’s just begin with the fact that the wrapper is aged in bourbon barrels, giving this cigar an overall creamy and smooth consistency all the way through. When I sat down to light this one up last night, I was a little weary about it being a 60 gauge, seeing as how that is not normally my preferred size, but let me say, I was glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and ended up a bit surprised at how explosive the flavor was and how smooth and comfortable of a smoke it was. I was greeted with nutty and earthy notes to begin with, and then it slowly transitioned into more of a nutty/cocoa combination. Some slight spice accompanied this very tasty cigar, and let’s not forget to mention that this stick sells for under 10 dollars! Truly a great choice for buyers not looking to hurt your pocket too much. I also noticed that towards the end of the smoke, it held a very consistent burn, with very little issue. For those not familiar with the brand, I think it's time to discover one of the greats. Great all around cigar. Flavor profile includes wood, pepper, cocoa, and a touch of citrus. Towards the end of the cigar, cocoa and wood take a backseat to coffee and leather while the spice and citrus are amped up a level. Burn and construction are great. Draw is just a hair looser than what I would consider perfect. Definitely appealing to seasoned smokers and new enthusiasts alike. Highly recommended.

I was given one of these by a friend a couple of years ago, so decided to purchase one to ry again, I do not usually go for mild cigars but this is a real pleasure, I am a fan of the Connecticut wrapper but once again I am still loving how easy this is to smoke considering its size and length, very creamy with hints of nuts and a good amount of flavour considering its really a begginers smoke. saying that it is 56 ring gauge. would I buy again, I will probably buy the robusto size and see how that compares

This is for the Reserve champagne Sungrown cigar in this sampler. Appearance was top-shelf...construction was decent with a 'softness' throughout. V-Cut cigar which produced lots of smoke and ash that held on perfectly. Usual thumbs up for a Perdomo cigar save flavor. Lacking in this department, but otherwise a very decent smoke. Would smoke again for sure.

Shelly first recommended this to me, and I'm so glad she did, I always grab a few when I'm at the store. Quality in it's construction and a balanced blend. A little soft if you prefer a firm stick, but the flavor makes up for it as far as I'm concerned.

In one word (or two), this was a beautiful, delicious, interesting cigar. Excellent construction, medium plus on flavors and medium strength, I enjoyed the transitions. Flavors being subjective, what I noticed the most was: wood (cedar and a hint of mahogany), old fine natural leather, just enough pepper to amp up the retrohale. Very enjoyable hour and a half ... smoke it slow.

I was greeted with a very open draw, giving a ton of smoke on the exhale. The flavor profile was the most interesting thing I found with the 20th Anniversary, giving me notes of spice, white pepper and something similar to cardamom. The strength level I would classify between medium and medium-to-full to start out. By the halfway point, the white pepper and cardamom mellowed some while the spice notes stayed in the forefront. I didn’t really find that the cigar gained in any strength until the last inch or so where hints of cocoa and mild spice finished it out, but even then, the strength for me only got up to medium-to-full.

The Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown is a soft box pressed with a reddish-brown Nicaraguan Sun Grown wrapper and Nicaraguan Binder and Filler. There are virtually no veins present and the cigar is rolled to perfection, with the classic Perdomo logo band with 20th Anniversary. This Cigar have a perfect draw in which you can feel the wood notes, a well-defined oak, with some coffee and citrus thrown into the mix. Through the nose, there is a nice amount of spice but there is also a nice nutty aroma that compliments the notes from the stick. The burn is even with a nice carbon line. The ash was white in color and big chunk. If you are a smoker that like medium to full body cigars you need to try this one.

There are virtually no veins present and the cigar is rolled to perfection. This cigar is built for the every day smoker. Consistent time and time again, the 20th Anniversary produces a flavor profile that is easily identifiable and enjoyable beyond words. , I found it medium and exceptionally smooth.

I was very surprised by this cigar. Right of the bat, it performs very good, although the draw seems a bit tight. The strength stays very consistent throughout the cigar. I will keep at least one always in stock.

Not at ALL what I was expecting. Nice pre-light aromas of earth and grass. Post-toast, rich flavors of hay and toasted oak. By the end of the first third, the body hits a solid medium and flavors of strong tangy cedar dominate, with a bit of dry hazelnut on the finish. I had some problems with the burn, but I'm not going to address them because it was very windy and trying to rain where I was enjoying this cigar, and my experience with Perdomo cigars is that they usually perform quite nicely. As usual with Perdomo cigars, the draw was perfect. On the strength-o-meter, keep in mind this is a big cigar, it hits a solid medium+. Overall: If you're a cedar lover, this is a must-try cigar for you. Pairing notes: The flavors in this smoke will be nicely complimented by a pitcher of your favorite citrusy summer ale.

I just picked one up and finished it in the backyard. It was a smooth and mellow cigar. Medium bodied with not a lot of complexity but a lot of aged tobacco flavor. Excellent burn and a firm white ash. A little soft and spungy but kept a nice cool burn throughout, A very good overall stick, I would recommend it.

For this weekly staff pick I chose to go with the Perdomo 20th Anniversary Sun Grown. The wrapper has an oily caramel colored wrapper with a very nicely presented box-press. The elegant detailed label stands out from the rest labeling this cigar as a 20th Anniversary Sungrown. Looking at the beautiful label and exquiste box press presentation makes for a potential enticing experience. As always when preparing for my cigar experience I clear my pallet and try the cigar with a club soda. I prefer to smoke my cigar with a single malt scotch whiskey. I paired this cigar with Grangestone's bourbon cask single malt scotch whisky. I removed the cap of the stick with a straight cut. The dry pre-light draw has notes of natural tobacco and some sweetness. I noted some pepperiness at the beginning of the smoking experience. The pepperiness started to dull out as the cigar continued to burn. The pairing of the single malt amplified the sweetness of the cigar creating a flavourful experience. I felt the cigar to be a medium plus just shy of reaching the full profile. I smoked the cigar down to the very nub and it turned out to be soft and cool in temperature. The cigar was constructed well with an even burn throughout. The 20th Anniversary is a go to cigar for me. I would definitely smoke it again and I rate it to be a must have.

Very nice cigar for the price, I found it to be a full body smoke. The burn and draw were very good, and had earthy/ woody flavors, Good smoke, but it didn't stand out for me, I probably wouldn't buy this cigar again.
