LeRoy Neiman was a famous American artist who loved to smoke cigars and was known to enjoy a cigar (or two) while painting. He was best known for his vivid expressionist paintings of sports figures, sporting events, musicians, and celebrities. As a warm tribute to Neiman and his passion for painting and smoking cigars, the J.C. Newman Cigar Co. in collaboration with the LeRoy Neiman and the Janet Byrne Neiman Foundation created the LeRoy Neiman 2024 Collector's Edition cigar. This limited-edition Churchill sports a lovely Ecuadorian Havana Rosado wrapper expertly placed over a Florida Sun Grown binder and carefully aged filler leaves from Nicaragua and the USA. The cigars are handmade at the historic El Reloj cigar factory, which is owned by J.C. Newman and located in Tampa, Florida. The inside of the box features an authentic lithograph of the “Left Bank Café.” Created by Nieman in 1987, the painting colorfully captures friends getting together at a café in Paris. The cigars are dressed in a band that features the same image. All profits made from the sale of the cigars will go to the support of arts education in public schools in Tampa, Florida.
