Almond notes with some cinnamon spice. I enjoy Honduran cigars.

Nutty and caramelly, very good flavor, some uneven burn.

Not too bold and not too mild with just the right amount of complexity, the CAO FASA Sol Gigante is an excellent choice for veteran as well as novice aficionados looking for an affordable smoke. This thick cigar’s lustrous Honduran Colorado wrapper with its matching bands just screamed, “smoke me!” So, I did. Besides, since I had already smoked its nocturnal counterpart (the Noche), I had to take “sunny” here out for a spin. The construction was a tad on the soft side, but it didn’t eclipse the cigar’s performance. The cold draw offered a gentle nuttiness with warm tobacco sweetness. The first half delivered bright peppery notes tempered by nutty, toasty, and cinnamon notes. While not at the magnitude of a solar flare, the smoke output was thick. The ash had a pleasing salt and pepper appearance. For the second half, the flavors stayed consistent with the pepper slowly setting into the horizon, but I did pick up more of the sweetness. The finish was long and velvety. As for pairing, coffee as you like it. When you purchase the Sol, buy the CAO FASA Noche as well, so you can compare how a change in wrapper affects a cigar’s flavor profile. It’s like night and day or day and night.

A very nice cigar. Rated medium, I found it a bit on the fuller side (not a bad thing). Good burn and smoke output.

Okay medium bodied stick with a nutty profile.

A solid cigar. The flavors are somewhat unique, medium, spicy, earthy, wood. It's an interesting complex cigar, some experience preferred. Also a great quality/value proposition.

Lively hints of cinnamon accent this medium-bodied cigar’s warm nutty and toasty profile.
