The Bolivar cigar brand was named after Simon Bolivar who helped liberate several South American countries from Spanish rule during the 1800s.  In the early 1900s, the Bolivar cigar brand was created in Cuba in honor of its namesake. The non-Cuban Bolivar cigar is a reengineered version of the original. It is known for its bountiful flavor profile, boldness, and creating a memorable smoking experience.

The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars.
