In Greek Mythology Cerberus was a menacing three-headed dog that stood sentry at the gates of Hades. At the Aganorsa Leaf plantation, dogs (mostly bulldogs) guard the fields. Like its predecessors in the Aganorsa Guardian of the Farm brand, the Cerberus is named after one of these loyal canines. The Guardian of the Farm Cerberus cigar is a Nicaraguan puro made exclusively of Aganorsa Leaf tobacco. Its blend consists of a Corojo 2012 wrapper and medio tiempo leaves, these leaves are considered rare and adds dimension to the cigar’s flavor profile. The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan Corojo '99 tobacco originated as a wrapper leaf in 1999 in Cuba. The seeds of the original Corojo '99 seed were planted in Ecuador, and these in turn were transplanted to Nicaragua. The leaf is appreciated for its excellent wrapper qualities and spiciness.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

I really love this cigar in every aspect. The body is nice and it hits every part of your pallet. If you get a chance you really need to try and attend an event where you are able to sample each component of the cigar then blend the three. Is a great educational and tasting experience. It’s a very nice cigar from beginning to end. Absolutely me new favorite.

I was expecting mad doog to get to my neck and bite but it was very much medium to full experience with classic aganorsa profile on a lighter side. Very sweet taste as far as 3rd Third, loads os sweet vanila, coco and eventually coffe. Light in strenght. Another great cigar out of aganorsa family.

It didn't WOW me as expected, but I agree that it is a decent smoke. good intro to corojo wrappers (which so far has been inconsistent from one cigar maker to another). I feel it needs a little more "tweeking". Good morning coffee stick, effortless draw ... just nothing standing out (for me). The burn started well but needed some touch ups along the way. I'm definitely intrigued, so will try other vitolas.

The Guardian of the Farm Cerberus is a beautiful looking cigar…Just the name causes an impression and makes you want to know a little bit more about it. The Cerberus is the most recent addition to the Guardian of the Farm line, and of course pay tribute to the dogs in charge of guarding the fields at the Aganorsa plantation. Is a Nicaraguan puro that utilizes tobaccos that were all cultivated on Aganorsa farms. Like its name, this is a powerful blend. And I’m not talking about strength here, the power of this cigar resides on how flavorful, complex and easy to smoke it is. The wrapper leaf is a Corojo 2012, underneath, a group of ultra-premium tobacco leaves, medio tiempo leaves among them to add some deepness on flavor and strength. Everything combines for a flavorful medium-bodied experience. Upon lighting, you are met with notes of cocoa, walnuts and espresso and some white pepper that complement really well the flavors, enhance the aroma and give a new dimension to the retrohale. These flavors intensify throughout the smoke. In the second third some toasted almonds notes appeared and espresso notes are stronger and more dominant now. The second third is all about the same predominant notes but with some added spice. Easy draw and perfect burn line, I paired with Zafra Rum and I can say they go really well together.
