Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

The wrapper was thin and began to tear after a careful v cut. After that I used a guillotine cut. The neck of the Cigar was packed very tightly and the cigar was slightly hard so the draw was pretty tight although the Cigar did burn evenly and continually without requiring a draw too often, the aroma of the Ecuador Sumatra rapper was nice but the flavor of the cigar was dull.

Very attractive looking stick. Nice oily Colorado wrapper. Good construction, burn is a bit off but not bad. Very nice medium to full strength.flavors are somewhat sweet and enjoyable. This cigar is not cheap, but nice to have periodically.

The cigars were packaged with care. I had to get a different packaging due to the store being out but it was the same cigars and same great care you get with other orders. The draw on these have been mediocre at best. I still have some to smoke but overall it has been a decent experience

ahhh good ol Montecristo. the first cigar brand I ever tried. it never disappoints. this cigar has a unique taste but maintains that familiar distinct Nicaraguan flavor. burn all the way thru without any touch-ups on running down the wrapper. and a smooth constant flavor. I'm lucky to live somewhere where I can find cubain cigars. Montecristo is a brand that I smoke really often. I tried that cigars last time in the US and I was SO surprised. First I can definitely recognize the Montecristo signature all over the smoke. Secondly the development of the cigar is awesome and really looks like cubains puros. Thirdly it's a cheap cigar for the value. It is one of my favorite Montecristo cigar, cubains included. I will buy more for sure. It's a full body cigar from my perspective, burn is perfect and the construction is really smart. Try it, you won't be disappointed amigo !

Always liked Montecristo cigars. Love Nicaraguan cigars, so when this pairing popped up for me, I jumped at it. This cigar is being listed as medium, but this was closer to full bodied to me. This took a while to work through, felt it was a strong stick. I enjoyed it, but make sure you eat first!
