It is the first non-Cuban Cohiba cigar that is handmade in Honduras, and it is also considered the strongest Cohiba brand that the General Cigar Company has released to date. It is comprised of a dark, chocolatey Nicaraguan Jalapa maduro wrapper that covers a Dominican Piloto Cubano binder and a filler composed of Honduran, Nicaraguan ligero, and Dominican ligero leaves. The leaves in this unique blend have been aged from five to six years. The Cohiba Royale delivers a potent and luxurious smoking experience with rich, dark flavors.

Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.
