She is the sister of Hendrik Kelner Jr, who is the founder of Smoking Jacket cigars. Their father is master blender Hendrik Kelner. The Dominican Cotui is a family reserve tobacco.   Established in 2012, the Kelner Boutique Factory (KBF) was founded in the Dominican Republic by Hendrik Kelner, Jr., who is the son of Hendrick “Henke” Kelner, Davidoff’s Master Blender. KBF manufactures cigars for Casdagli Cigars (formerly known as Bespoke Cigars). They also produce the Smoking Jacket Cigars, which is their own brand.

  The main tobacco region in the Dominican Republic is the Cibao valley in the northern part of the island. In the 60s, Cuban seeds were brought here by exiled Cuban cigar makers and found that they grew exceptional cigar tobacco, called Piloto Cubano. The native Dominican tobacco, called Olor, is milder than Piloto Cubano yet more aromatic. The first company to grow Dominican tobacco for cigar wrapper was Tabacalera Arturo Fuente in 1995.
