The Sosa family has been making cigars since the early 1900s, first in Cuba and later in the Dominican Republic. Today, most of  Sosa Cigars are produced in the Tabacalera A. Fuente factory. Sosa Super Selection are very dark maduros made with an oily Mexican Maduro wrapper and binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic. The Sosa Super Selection is a very smooth maduro that will reward you with both earthy and sweet flavors.

The Torpedo was traditionally a fat cigar with two closed, tapered ends. Today, it is any cigar with a cut foot and straight body which tapers to a closed, pointed head.

Most cigars are round in shape, as this is how the cigars are rolled by the torcedor.

The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
