The Fratello Navetta Atlantis is a Nicaraguan torpedo made by Joya de Nicaragua, first introduced in 2017. This full-bodied smoke is named after a NASA space shuttle, and features an Ecuadorian Oscuro wrapper on top of a Dominican binder and premium Nicaraguan fillers that come together to provide delicious notes of cocoa, nuts, espresso, and cedar that will launch your palate into orbit!

  While one may not always associate cigars with outer space, the Fratello Navetta is intending to change all that. Omar de Frias spent 12 years working for NASA, during which he eventually blossomed his love for cigars into his own company. Once he felt his new endeavor needed his attention full-time, de Frias stepped away from NASA to focus on Fratello. The Navetta, Italian for 'shuttle', is a cigar that pays homage to his former career. Featuring four sizes, each of which named after a NASA space shuttle, the Fratello Navetta uses an Ecuadorian Oscuro wrapper on top of a Dominican binder and Nicaraguan filler to embark your palate on an otherworldly experience it will never forget.

  Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type wrappers to many cigar factory in the world.

  The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together. 
  Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.
