Hoyo de Monterrey La Amistad Robusto is a reinvented version of its Cuban predecessor Hoyo de Monterrey. It is also a joint venture by AJ Fernandez and General Cigars, two giants in the tobacco industry. Hand-rolled, the Hoyo de Monterrey La Amistad is a medium-strength cigar that uses a Colorado Ecuadorian Habano wrapper to surround a Nicaraguan binder and filler.

  The Hoyo La Amistad by AJ Fernandez is a full bodied revamp of the famous Hoyo de Monterrey brand. AJ Fernandez grew up near the Hoyo de Monterrey factory in Cuba and was excited when General Cigars chose him to blend this cigar. The cigar is a collaboration between the two companies, which is appropriate since "La Amistad" means friendship in Spanish. The cigar features an Ecuador Habano wrapper and Nicaraguan tobaccos in the blend.
