I am typically not a fan of sweetened cigars but this one is decent. Sweetness does not completely overpower the tobacco flavor.

I’ve been a fan of the Deadwood line since Drew Estates killed off the great Larutan sticks. But the new Dominicana is my least favorite. Too much going on for a small, quick-smoke…at least for me. After you get the cellophane wrapper off, you’ve got not one, not two, but three bands to remove before, or during the smoke. Often the ribbon bands on the tips are so tight you struggle to slide them off most cigars…this one is no exception. The pigtail is another novelty on such a small stick, but at least you don’t have to grab a cutter. But I have found the cellophane wrapper is harder to get off when there is a pigtail since you can’t pinch the end of the stick to get it to slide out. I was not a fan of the taste…bitter for me, but everyone’s palette is different. Gosh, hate to be so negative, but for me, it is what it is. Perhaps you’ll find Dominicana to work better for you!
