A balanced, full-bodied cigar that starts off peppery but easily transitions to unexpected notes of cocoa and fruit. Its sweet, dark Ecuadorian Habano maduro wrapper covers a Nicaraguan Corojo-Criollo binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos that have been aged for three years. The La Antiguedad is handcrafted in Nicaragua under the guidance of Jose “Pepin” Garcia and Jaime Garcia of My Father Cigars.

  My Father's La Antiguedad is the follow up to their very successful line Flor de Las Antillas, with added strength for those looking for a more full bodied experience. The Garcia family uses a beautiful dark brown Ecuadorian Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper, a double binder of Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo, and a blend of Nicaraguan fillers that have been aged at least three and a half years. The initial peppery flavors of the cigar mellow down to reveal a complex array of sweet, cocoa and fruity flavors. La Antiguedad means Antiquity in Spanish.

  Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.

  Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 tobacco was first used as a wrapper in Cuba during the late 20th Century. It was then grown in Ecuador and eventually in Nicaragua. Primarily, it is used as a wrapper, but it is also used as a binder. It is regarded for its spiciness.
