  The La Gloria Cubana Spanish Press is a medium-strength, full-bodied premium cigar masterfully created by cigar giant Ernesto Carrillo. It is handmade in the Dominican Republic. A dark, Nicaraguan maduro wrapper surrounds the Spanish Press’ Mexican San Andres binder, which houses a specially blended filler made of Brazilian Mata Fina, Dominican Olor, Dominican Piloto, and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The Spanish Press method delivers an ideal draw and smoke output to create a flawless smoking experience.

  A box pressed cigar is a cigar that has a square shape. Originally, this shape came from the practice of packing round cigars tightly in cardboard boxes which are then compacted using a manual press. The cigars are thus pressed into each other and become a "squarish" or semi-square shape. Today, cigar makers use square shaped molds or a wooden trunk press for their box pressed cigars, achieving a more defined square section.

  In 1948, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Sr. purchased the El Credito cigar factory in Havana, Cuba. After the Cuban Revolution, he left Cuba and moved to Miami, FLA. There he purchased a small cigar factory and named it El Credito. In 1976, his son Ernesto Jr. took over the enterprise. In the 1990s, El Credito released the legendary La Gloria Cubana cigar. Eventually, El Credito was purchased by Scandinavian Tobacco Group, which still makes the La Gloria Cubana cigar in the Dominican Republic.

  Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
  Brazil produces rich, medium to strong, dark tobaccos with a sweet taste and aroma. Most of the cigar production is concentrated on the eastern coast of Brazil, in the state of Bahia. Mata Fina tobacco is grown in a region in the Reconcavo Basin of the State of Bahia called Mata Fina (which translated means "thin plants"). Tobacco was one of the natural crops in the region.
