It is aptly called the Trinidad Espiritu (Spanish for spirit). A Nicaraguan puro from its fetching, natural-colored wrapper to its exquisite long filler tobaccos, the Trinidad Espiritu is a handmade, medium-strength cigar. From first puff to last, the Trinidad Espiritu offers a rich complexity of flavors that hints of citrus, vanilla, and pepper.
Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 2
The Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 2 is the collaborative effort of two living legends in the cigar industry: AJ Fernandez and Rafael Nodal of Aging Room and head of product capability for Tabacalera USA. Like its predecessor, the Espiritu Series No. 2 focuses on the tobacco from one country, which is Brazil in this release. This medium to full bodied cigar features an oily, dark Brazilian Arapiraca maduro wrapper that cloaks a Nicaraguan binder and a filler composed of long-filler leaves from Nicaragua and Brazil. This exotic blend captures the true essence of Brazilian tobacco and fine cigar craftsmanship. The Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 2 is handmade at AJ Fernandez’s famed Tabacalera Fernandez in Nicaragua. When developing the blend for the Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 3, Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernandez decided to dedicated it to Mexico: its people, culture, and history. The cigar features a mouthwatering Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper that expertly covers a binder and filler made of premium Nicaraguan tobaccos. According to Rafael Nodal, the “Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 3 is a sensory experience like no other...it boasts a complex yet subtle profile.” The Series No. 3 is the final release in the sought-after Trinidad Espiritu line.

Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
