Anonymous  how long does the solution last
Posted 4/21/2023
  • NeptuneCigar.com  Usually quite some time, but it depends on the size of your humidor, the environment the humidor is stored within, the quantity of cigars you are humidifying , etc.

  • Eireann Francis  20 cigar humidor and abt 20 cigars and about 21°C n below on average

  • NeptuneCigar.com  It can be hard to predict just how long a bottle will last, there's no exact math to it. I would start with this smaller 8oz bottle to give it a try and go for the 16oz bottle if needed afterwards. Smaller humidors like a 20 count model should see the bottle of solution last longer than larger models(100 count or more).

George Carlin  I see a lot of people saying this product "works like a charm"... I wonder which kind of charm they are referring to...maybe a four leaf clover, or possibly small religious item? I'm beginning to have serious doubts that any of these people even know how a "charm" works, or if charms work at all. I had know idea cigar smokers were so caught up in this hocus pokus mumbo jumbo. I want a product that actually works, as in scientifically proven, because if I want some magic liquid in a bottle I can get some holy water from my local new age book store for a lot cheaper. So.. Should I buy this product or should I recruit a priest to exorcise and baptize my humidor during the next lunar eclipse ?
Posted 5/22/2020
  • NeptuneCigar.com  The science is that this product contains Propylene Glycol, which has antibacterial and antifungal properties. I do not believe the same can be said about holy water or lunar eclipses.

  • George No-ItAll  "Hocus pocus"? I mean, some do believe that plume exists and put all of their faith into that magic mold.

Anonymous  If your hydrometer is built into the humidor do you still leave your digital hydrometer in the humidor with your cigars
Posted 12/11/2019
  • NeptuneCigar.com  It is perfectly fine to leave your digital hygrometer inside of the humidor with cigars, even if you have another one built into the humidor.

Nick  Does just any Propylene glycol work is this some sort of special fomula?
Posted 3/29/2019
  • NeptuneCigar.com  No, this is a mixture of specific percentage of water to propylene glycol. It is not recommended to use any propylene glycol on your humidifier.

  • Anonymous  What's the mixture?
    Replied 3/29/2019
  • NeptuneCigar.com  We could not locate this information. On the manufacturer website they say only this about the mixture: it is a perpetual solution, whose mix of PG and purified water is such that the PG biodegrades at the same rate as refill of the devices
