If you’re a cigar aficionado who has been wanting to go outside the box in terms of trying new brands, wrappers or vitolas, but were afraid to because of costs, there is a solution. It’s called Box Splitting. How does it work? As the name implies, you simply split a box of cigars with another cigar lover. First, you and one or two other cigar enthusiasts agree to each buy a box of cigars (preferably not the same brand). Next, you all agree to meet up and evenly split the cigars from each box. Finally, you each take home a mixed box of cigars. That’s it. Box splitting allows you to expand your smoking portfolio while reducing costs. Also, it is a great way to meet new cigar enthusiasts and compare tasting notes.
