Cigar Aficionado’s Hall of Fame

As everyone knows, just about every industry has a Hall of Fame. There’s a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a [insert your favorite sport here] Hall of Fame, and an Automotive Hall of Fame. There’s even an International Best Dressed Hall of Fame List! And of course, there’s one for the cigar industry.

Established in 1997 by Cigar Aficionado (the magazine), “The Cigar Aficionado Hall of Fame was created to acknowledge cigarmakers in the premium sector who have distinguished themselves with world-class craftsmanship.”*  Now more than 25 years old, the Cigar Aficionado Hall of Fame (CAHOF)  has become a “Who’s Who” of some of the top leaders in the cigar industry who have made a positive impact on the industry as a whole.  

The CAHOF is not held every year and who gets inducted is a well-guarded secret. So, when Cigar Aficionado does announce its inductees, it is not only a great honor, but a huge surprise to all concerned, especially the inductees.

To give you an idea of who has received this great honor, we prepared a short list of past Hall of Famers along with some of their cigar brands.
