King Edward the VIII of England was an avid polo player. While playing in Argentina, the monarch picked up the word “macanudo,” from his Argentinian teammates. According to King Edward, the word meant “fantastic,” or “super.” He was very fond of the word and used it often. The cigar makers in Jamaica also liked it and named one of their premium cigars after it. The Macanudo brand has been releasing fine cigars for more than half a century. Now isn’t that fantastic?
