Drew Estate and Joya de Nicaragua have a very tight collaboration that has now given birth to a very unique cigar baptised Uzi. The cigar uses a San Andreas Negro Wrapper, Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade Binder and hearty Brazilian Mata Fina filler from DE, as well as Nicaraguan fillers provided by JDN. The result is a 60 ring gauge stick that is rich, earthy, bright and sweet.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Maduro
Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).
Wrapper
Mexican San Andres Maduro
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. San Andres Maduro is a thick, medium bodied dark leaf, also called San Andres Morron. Like Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres Maduro is stalk cut and used for binder and wrapper.
Binder
Ecuador
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow binders, because it is located on the Equator and it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type binders to many cigar factory in the world.
Filler
Brazil Mata Fina
Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Brazil produces rich, medium to strong, dark tobaccos with a sweet taste and aroma. Most of the cigar production is concentrated on the eastern coast of Brazil, in the state of Bahia. Mata Fina tobacco is grown in a region in the Reconcavo Basin of the State of Bahia called Mata Fina (which translated means "thin plants"). Tobacco was one of the natural crops in the region.
Nicaragua
Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

NO... the cigar looks good and the burn was even, but the smoke output was low and the draw was tight. Now that's all bad enough, but it was the flavor that was the last nail in the coffin. Quite possibly the worst cigar I have ever tasted. Might as well have been smoking a Backwoods. After taste in my mouth was quite disgusting.

Really good construction, very firm. It has an earthy aroma. For some reason, on the cold draw, I got a bread taste, that stayed, not front and centre but off to one side. I didn't get too many other tastes, never-the-less, I really enjoyed it. It was a light smoke, and I smoked it down as far as I could without burning my fingers, and it stayed nice and light (with a bread flavour) the entire time. I'll get more of these.

this was a great smoke. started off with a good hint of coco and finished with a solid leather/woody flavor. overall a very good quality cigar. I prefer to use a punch on my cigars, but I found I had to cut the cap after a little bit on this one....with a hole punch the draw was just too tight. after I cut, it smoked like a dream

This is a really impressive cigar, especially for the price. Very well constructed. Good draw and even burn throughout the 80 minutes smoking time. Delicious medium flavours of smooth milk chocolate. Nubbed it!

got some of these cigars to try out but for a big ring gauged cigar I was underwhelmed with the flavour and taste of these cigars, had some pepper and leathery flavour and halfway through each cigar they became a little harsh, a little tight on the draw but overall just not my cup of tea.

Have tried several of the larger size MUWAT's and found them 'OK.' This smaller size is far superior in both handling and fitting in my mouth, to a great aroma and taste. Highly recommend this smaller stick to the MUWAT larger sticks. A+

This little sucker packs a punch! Typical from Drew Estate, this cigar had perfect construction, perfect burn and perfect draw. Be aware this cigar puts off a ton of smoke, even when not being puffed on. For me though, it was a little much, it nearly took my breath away when I puffed on it, that's how potent the smoke is.
