This potent stick delivers rich earthy, nutty, cocoa and spicy notes complemented with a satisfying sweetness. Its dark, oily Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper cloaks a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The cigar was originally released in 2008 as a tribute to Mexico and its fine tobacco. The cigar is named after Zocalo, a main square in Mexico City that is now known as Plaza de la Constitucion. The cigar still maintains its original blend, but the packaging and the band has been given a new look that was inspired by the Mexican flag. The CAO Zocalo Toro is handmade in Nicaragua.

Named after the main square in Central Mexico City, the CAO Zocalo is rich and tasty, with a Cameroon binder and Nicaraguan filler rounding out the zesty full-bodied blend very nicely. Slated for a limited run of just 3,500 boxes, this is one trip you won't want to miss.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. San Andres Maduro is a thick, medium bodied dark leaf, also called San Andres Morron. Like Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres Maduro is stalk cut and used for binder and wrapper.

  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
