These two exquisite leaves cloak a filler composed of Peruvian, Nicaraguan, Dominican Republic and USA tobaccos. This specially curated blend has a balanced sweetness that is accented with notes of vanilla, chocolate, and oak. Handmade in the Dominican Republic at the Kelner Boutique Factory, the Casdagli Basilica A Toro received a 96% “Extraordinary” rating in 2018 from Blind Man’s Puff, a well-known cigar website.

  Established in 2012, the Kelner Boutique Factory (KBF) was founded in the Dominican Republic by Hendrik Kelner, Jr., who is the son of Hendrick “Henke” Kelner, Davidoff’s Master Blender. KBF manufactures cigars for Casdagli Cigars (formerly known as Bespoke Cigars). They also produce the Smoking Jacket Cigars, which is their own brand.

The native Dominican tobacco, called Olor, is milder than Piloto Cubano yet more aromatic. The first company to grow Dominican tobacco for cigar wrapper was Tabacalera Arturo Fuente in 1995.
