  The Crowned Heads Coroneta Maduro (along with its counterpart the Coroneta Habano) is a dream come true for Jon Huber co-founder of Crowned Heads. Huber has always wanted to offer two completely different blends from two different factories under one brand. He did it with the Coroneta. Unlike the Habano, the Maduro is a heartier expression that features a Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper placed over an Ecuadorian Connecticut binder and a filler made of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and USA Pennsylvania leaves. Like the Habano version, the maduro is an excellent choice for smokers who like a traditional smoke with a contemporary touch, but with little more punch. The cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic at the Casa Carrillo factory, which is run by famed cigar maker Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. The “Coroneta” name comes from coronet, which is a simple crown. The names of the cigar’s vitola refers to various crowns and ranks of the British nobility during the 16th century.
