The cigar’s USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper cloaks a Nicaraguan Habano binder and filler.  The binder was aged in barrels that once contained Boxergrail Bourbon. Once rolled, the Diesel Whiskey Row Founder's Collection Boxergrail cigars undergo a proprietary aging process, which was developed by globally recognized cigar maker AJ Fernandez.  The cigars are handmade at AJ’s Tabacalera Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua factory.

  The Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection is the third collaboration between Rabbit Hole Distillery and Diesel Cigars. Each release in the Founder’s Collection features a binder that has been aged in oak barrels that once contained whiskey or bourbon produced by Rabbit Hole. The cigars are an excellent companion to the fine spirits they are named after. The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua at the Tabacalera Fernandez factory, which is owned and operated by AJ Fernandez.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Connecticut Broadleaf is grown in the United States' Connecticut Valley and is prized for its dark, oily, full flavored and aromatic characteristics. The plants are grown in full sun giving this cigar wrapper its characteristic sweetness. The Connecticut Broadleaf plant leaves are mainly processed as maduro tobacco. Today, Connecticut Broadleaf seeds are being grown in other countries besides the United States.

  The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together. 
  Nicaraguan Habano tobacco is grown in the Jalapa and Esteli regions of Nicaragua, which is valued for its rich volcanic soil and ideal climate for growing tobacco. Nicaraguan Habano produces cigars with a Cubanesque flavor and aroma.
