This full-bodied smoke offers savory notes of cedar, nuts, spice, leather and a long chocolatey finish. Its Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper covers an African Cameroon binder and a Nicaraguan filler. Handmade in Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez, the Don Lino Africa Tembo Gran Toro has a classic look and feel that will appeal to both the traditional as well as the contemporary smoker. The Africa line was inspired by a trip Nestor Miranda, the founder of Miami Cigar & Co., took to Africa. Tembo is Swahili for elephant.

  A box pressed cigar is a cigar that has a square shape. Originally, this shape came from the practice of packing round cigars tightly in cardboard boxes which are then compacted using a manual press. The cigars are thus pressed into each other and become a "squarish" or semi-square shape. Today, cigar makers use square shaped molds or a wooden trunk press for their box pressed cigars, achieving a more defined square section.

  Cuban expatriate AJ Fernandez produces handmade cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua at the Tabacalera Fernandez factory. Fernandez learned everything he knows about tobacco and cigarmaking from his late grandfather, cigar legend Alejandro Robaina.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Habana 2000 or H2000, is a hybrid between El Corojo, Cuba's standard wrapper leaf last cultivated in the 90s, and a cigarette tobacco called Bell 61-10. Cuban cigar growers crossed these two tobaccos in order to get a wrapper leaf that would be more resistant to disease than the Corojo was. Although its introduction was controversial and the leaf was not widely accepted, its quality has improved over time and it is now being cultivated with success outside of Cuba as well.
