Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the Gurkha Revenant Maduro Toro’s filler uses a hybrid T-13 tobacco that is exclusively grown in the Dominican Republic by Ram Rodriguez of Tabacalera El Artista.

  The Gurkha Revenant Maduro is a medium bodied smoke that features an oily, dark Mexican San Andres wrapper, a Cameroon binder and a filler composed of the T-13 a hybrid tobacco that is grown in the Dominican Republic and Nicaraguan tobacco. The blend was developed by Ram Rodriguez of Tabacalera El Artista. It is the first time that El Artista has crafted a cigar for Gurkha. A Revenant is a ghost-like entity that seeks revenge on the people who wronged it when it was alive.

  A box pressed cigar is a cigar that has a square shape. Originally, this shape came from the practice of packing round cigars tightly in cardboard boxes which are then compacted using a manual press. Today, cigar makers use square shaped molds or a wooden trunk press for their box pressed cigars, achieving a more defined square section.

Also known as El Artista, this seed-to-cigar company primarily creates cigars for various brands throughout the world. They also produce their own brands such as the Exactus, Pulita, Cimarron, and Buffalo Ten. In collaboration with David Ortiz, a well-known baseball player, El Artista created the Big Papi cigar.
