  The Gurkha Year of the Dragon cigar was crafted to welcome in the year 2024, which according to the Chinese Zodiac is represented by a dragon. It is the first time that Gurkha has released a cigar to celebrate the Chinese New Year (also referred to as the Lunar New Year). The cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic from undisclosed proprietary tobacco and feature a savory maduro wrapper. Once rolled, the cigars are placed in a specially designed collectible box that commemorates the new year. According to the Chinese Zodiac, people born on the Year of the Dragon are considered ambitious and intelligent. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.
