A medium-bodied cigar that delivers coffee, cedar, peppery, and earthy notes with an underlying sweetness. Its USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The Yagua offers a farm-fresh smoking experience by having its wrapper leaves pulled early from the piles during the fermentation process (this is often referred to as a “wet wrapper) and rolled onto its binder and filler. The rolled cigars are then tightly bound by a leaf from the Yagua tree (aka Royal Palm). This unique process gives the cigars its rustic look and provides a smooth smoking experience. Lazaro Lopez, the general manager for J.C. Newman’s factory, learned this method from his grandfather who used it for his own private blend. The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua.
