The Micallef Migdalia Corona Gorda was created in honor of master roller Migdalia Sanchez, who as part of the Gomez-Sanchez family, owned and operated the family’s factory in Nicaragua, which makes the Micallef cigars. When she was in Cuba, Migdalia had received high honors for being one of Cuba’s top cigar rollers. This is a medium to full-bodied petit corona that sports an inviting light brown Mexican San Andres Habano wrapper with a Sumatran binder and a filler made of premium Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. The tobaccos are aged for 4 years prior to rolling. Then, the cigars are aged for one year, so they can develop their distinctive flavor profile. Once lit, the Migdalia offers a smooth, smoking experience with warm notes of coffee, earth and sweetness. The Micallef Migdalia is handmade in Nicaragua.
