Combining the formidable tobacco expertise of the renowned Mendez family and Altadis USA's prestigious Grupo de Maestros, the Montecristo Pepe Mendez Pilotico No. 2 is a special homage to Pepe Mendez, who is said to have brought tobacco seeds with him from Cuba in the 1960s in order to establish the reputation that his lineage still proudly portrays today. Featuring a beautiful Ecuadorian wrapper covering a Dominican binder and aged Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, this nutty medium-bodied figurado is smooth and complex, with notes of earth, vanilla, and espresso though a short, slightly spicy finish.
