The Perdomo Small Batch Series Connecticut Rothschild is made at Tabacalera Perdomo in Esteli, Nicaragua using specially aged 10 year old Nicaraguan tobaccos. This limited release uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper on top of premium Nicaraguan binder and filler that gives this mild-bodied robusto a delectably creamy profile consisting of almonds, cedar, and espresso. These aren't always available, so make sure to claim them when you can.

  Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.
