It is best paired with a stout beer or a hot chocolate. These limited-edition cigars are placed in festive wooden mini-kegs. The Quesada Holiday Keg is handmade in the Dominican Republic.

The cigars are made of the finest tobaccos. Once rolled, these special occasion cigars are packaged in a festive, collectible mini-wooden keg, which is made Okoume wood.

  Quesada Cigars are made by Manufactura de Tabacos, S.A., a.k.a. MATASA, which is owned and operated by the Quesada family. The factory was founded by Manuel Quesada, his father and his brother in 1974 in Santiago, Dominican Republic. MATASA’s vast portfolio of cigars includes the Quesada 1974, Quesada 40th Anniversary, and the Quesada Oktoberfest. They also manufacture cigars for some of the top brands in the industry.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Corojo wrapper was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

In the 60s, Cuban seeds were brought here by exiled Cuban cigar makers and found that they grew exceptional cigar tobacco, called Piloto Cubano. The native Dominican tobacco, called Olor, is milder than Piloto Cubano yet more aromatic. The first company to grow Dominican tobacco for cigar wrapper was Tabacalera Arturo Fuente in 1995.
