  Originally released in 2011, the Namakubi cigar had a successful run until it went on hiatus in 2017. In 2021, it returned as a limited-edition cigar and has been coming back ever since. The Namakubi cigar is named after the Samurai tradition of bringing the freshly severed head of a defeated rival Samuri clan leader to the winning clan’s leader.
