This medium-bodied cigar has an earthy, spicy, and salty profile and a smooth, effortless draw. Its oily Nicaraguan wrapper covers a Honduran binder and filler. The cigars are handmade in Honduras. The Saint Luis Rey Carenas pays tribute to “Puerto Carenas,” which was what the Port of Havana in Cuba was called during the 16th Century. The historic port was where Cuban tobacco left its island homeland and headed to Spain to be rolled into cigars.
