Handmade in Honduras, the Sancho Panza The Original is a reimagined version of this historic brand that was developed by Matt Booth (of Room 101 cigars). Booth is the creative director for General Cigar Co.

  In 2022, the Sancho Panza The Original blend was reworked by STG with the help of Matt Booth of Room101 and the new cigars are round instead of box-pressed. It now features a smooth Honduran Connecticut Shade wrapper covering a Mexican San Andres binder and a filler composed of Dominican Republic, Nicaraguan, and Brazilian leaves. Superb construction and a delectable aroma can be found here, along with notes of coffee, nuts, and cream.

  Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

  The San Andres region in Mexico is known for producing some of the best tobacco in the world. The tobacco is stalk cut and valued for its rich dark color and used to make noteworthy maduro wrappers and binders.

  Brazil Mata Fina

  Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
  Brazil produces rich, medium to strong, dark tobaccos with a sweet taste and aroma. Most of the cigar production is concentrated on the eastern coast of Brazil, in the state of Bahia. Mata Fina tobacco is grown in a region in the Reconcavo Basin of the State of Bahia called Mata Fina (which translated means "thin plants"). Tobacco was one of the natural crops in the region.
